M&N Groundworks Ltd

M&N Groundworks, Civil Engineering

M&N Groundworks have been trading since 2004 and have grown steadily over that time despite the difficult environment particularly in the last 6 to 7 years. We offer a nationwide service although the majority of our activities are currently in Dublin and its hinterlands.

One of M&Ns core principles is to work closely with the client/contractor and we believe this is crucial to a successful outcome. Value for money is another of our underpinning principles and we believe that the level of service provided by us versus cost, makes M&N one of the premiere Groundworks contractors operating in Dublin at this moment in time.

PREVIOUS WORKS

Data Farm - Sisk

Together with Sisk we have completed 3 phases of Data Storage Facilities for a world leading blue chip company in West Dublin. We are currently building a further 3 phases for the same client.

Ikea Retail - Careys

This high profile project involved a 4,000m2 extension to Ikea. M&N did all bulk excavation (8,000m3) in just over a week. Also pad foundations, watermain, ducting and all associated services and roads.

IDA Park - Careys PLC

This Letterkenny project involved  a 4.5 Hectare extension to IDA car park. Again we did bulk excavation, 2,000 m3 rock breaking, 300 lm of adoptable road, services etc.

Dublin Zoo - Midland Construction

Project was to convert a Rhino habitat into a Gorilla habitat  -300m RC retaining wall with surrounding moat,  extensive earthworks (circa 10,000m3), gorilla holding building of 700m2 and the usual associated services.

Kevin St Garda Station - JJ Rhatigans

Project is live and entails basement excavation of 7m below street level totalling 18,000m3.
Being a typical city centre site space was extremely tight in that the actual building footprint was the full extent of the site.
We also broke down piles and prepared heads for pile caps/slab, together with drainage and services some of which are crossing busy roads.

National Gallery of Ireland - John Paul Construction

M&N have the groundwork’s contract for this refurbishment project in the city centre. It entails substantial muck away, foundations, drainage systems and utility installations.

Greystones Harbour - Sisk

This is a continuation of Greystones Harbour development and consists of new Club houses, 900m of deep drainage (4m), and service tie-ins involving 300m of public road opening with associated SLG measures put in place.

Testimonials

Following the works completed out on Victoria road, we just want to note the efforts from the Crew & M&N management working out on this element of works, it’s a great result after 4 weeks out on a busy live carriageway to be able to say that there were no real issues, hardly any complaints from neighbours and more importantly no service strikes which is a credit to the crew and their diligence with the amount of services they encountered along the way. It was always going to be a high risk element of work & we as managers can only do so much to mitigate the risk by getting surveys, traffic management plans & RAMS etc. put in place along the way, it’s down to Willie & his crew & the positive attitude they adopted throughout the few weeks that made it a successful element of work.
Can you pass the message from Sisk Management down to the crew when you get a chance & hopefully all will go as well as the last couple of weeks when we complete the last section under the bridge when the time comes.
